Muncie Central High School, at 801 N. Walnut St, Muncie, is again hosting the annual Muncie & Delaware County Veterans Day Program. The free event takes place this year on Monday, Nov.12, in the MCHS auditorium at 7pm.

A musical prelude to the 7 pm program begins at 6:30 pm, performed by a ‘shoulder-to- shoulder’ combined band, consisting of musicians from America’s Hometown Band and the MCHS Concert Band. Music director for this event is John Clark, the Muncie Central High School Band Director.

Speaker Dennis Tyler, Mayor of the City of Muncie, as well statements from Delaware County Veterans Affairs leaders, plus the local Military Color Guard Unit are set to blend their presentations with the band’s patriotic numbers. Program chair and emcee for the Veterans Day honorary is Dale Basham.

This annual AHB outreach program with the MCHS musicians is in its 21st year, and the traditional combined patriotism is a great example of the on-going Muncie/Ball State “Better Together” initiative.

The public is invited to take part in this hometown remembrance and appreciation of all United States war veterans. Admission and ample parking are free.
